南京著名的“老字号”饭店，始建于1933年，前身为民国的“首都饭店”，是当时最富盛名的饭店，系国民政府军政要员及外国使节下榻休憩和社交会友的主要场所，历史悠久绵长，文化底蕴深厚，是江苏省省级文物保护单位。客房主要分布在三栋楼——民国楼、贵宾楼、迎宾楼。客房显老旧，但配套齐全，价格实惠。服务高高在上，毕竟是“军字号”的饭店嘛！

1932年的老饭店，特地来住的，个人觉得五个印象较深的地方是：一眼望去一水都是中式红木家具；淋浴间很大，让我形容的话就是可以同时四个人在里面洗澡都不会碰到；这是我在南京住这么多天酒店吃早餐满座率百分之九十以上的；第四点是洗衣间在装修没有干洗，但房间了洗衣粉??；最后一点是淋浴间下水道的盖子是打开的，一进洗手间就一股臭味扑面而来。
