EVEREST POINT sits in the Yila grassland by Napa Lake in Shangri-La, Yunnan, covering five mu. Facing the snow peaks of Shika Snow Mountain and backed by Yila Holy Mountain, it was rebuilt from a Tibetan courtyard built in the 1980s, keeping its wooden structure and Kangba cultural details. Designed by an award-winning designer in the wabi-sabi style, EVEREST POINT offers rooms of varied layouts with water floor heating, Dyson hairdryers, L'Occitane bath sets, smart televisions, smart toilets and a lift. Windows open onto grassland, deer and alpacas wander in the yard, and coffee, tea and orange juice are free all day, with afternoon tea and yak jerky adding Tibetan flavour. At night the bonfire party lights up the grassland with warm beer, marshmallows, Guozhuang dancing and plateau karaoke. Free airport and station transfers are offered, and Songzanlin Monastery and Dukezong Ancient Town are a short drive away. At EVEREST POINT, calm and warmth live together beside Napa Lake.
